Annette (Toni) Kovalscik, 81, died July 20th 2020, with her family by her side in Orem, Utah, after a courageous, nine-year battle with cancer. She was born December 20th, 1938 in Pittsburgh, PA, a daughter of the late Lena and Nathan Baltansky. Toni was preceded in death by her brother, Marvin Baltanksy; sister, Charlotte Contis; and a grandchild, Chrissy Kaczorowski. She is survived by her brother, Arnold Baltansky; 4 children, Stephen (Nora) Kovalscik III of Utah, Michael Kovalscik of Pittsburgh, Gary (Janis) Kovalscik of Arkansas, and Debra (Darren) Kovalscik of Washington, PA; 7 grandchildren, James (April), Stephen IV (Lindsay), Kevin (Robin), Abby (Lew), Gina, Jimmy and Abby; and 9 great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Owen, Henrietta, Kirsten, Chase, Noah, Ryan, Tye and Nadia. Toni enjoyed reading, traveling, and adding to her collection of penguins, trolls and magnets. She took care of several parakeets over the years, George being her favorite A daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, she was loved deeply by many and will forever be missed. Per government guidelines up to 25 friends and family will be received from 11:30-12:30pm on Saturday, July 25th 2020 at Ball Funeral Chapel, Inc. 600 Dunster St, Pittsburgh, PA 15226. Burial will follow at 1pm at the Jefferson Memorial Park in Pleasant Hills.
