Anna Marie (Monzo) Fischetti

Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend to many, Anna "Ann" Marie Fischetti passed away peacefully in her home in Pittsburgh on January 10th, 2021, at age 86. Her passing followed a fall related to a yearlong stroke recovery. Ann was born on October 23, 1934, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Her natural mother, Anna Hudicek, died shortly after Ann's birth. She was raised by Frank Monzo (Father) (d) and Marion (Forbes) Monzo (Step-Mother)(d). Ann survived her parents, twin boys that died shortly after their birth, her brother, David, her first husband, Florian Nelson "Sonny" Desrocher, and second husband, Pasquale C. Fischetti. She is survived by her sister, Frances; her nine children, Diane, David, April, Cheryl, Michael, Nancy, Amy, Patrick and Joanne; 21 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. All loved her dearly. Her pride and joy were her grandchildren, Peter, III, Amy, Lauren (d), Christopher, Michelle, Infinity, Justin, Jason, Amber, Jared, Ryan, Rosano, Stefano, Giancarlo, Sofia, Brandon, Kaleigh, Megan, Monte, II, Francesca and Giana and her great-grandchildren, Peter, IV, Anthony, Madeline, Clara, Peyton, Talia, Yeshe, Nevaeh, Gavin, Bailey, Holly, Scarlett, Felix, Hope, Leo, and Salem. Ann loved shopping, travel, Hallmark movies, loudly expressing her thoughts in public, devoting time to her faith, and spending time with her family and friends. She gladly shared what little she had, and left her family with a wealth of wisdom and life perspective that has served them well. A private virtual memorial will be scheduled.
