Alice Burkhart (née Raposa), formerly of Fall River, Massachusetts, and a longtime resident of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, passed away on June 5, 2026, at the age of 87.
Alice always wanted to celebrate her life by gathering with those whom she loved the most, but unfortunately, she passed before that day ever came. So, we will gather on this day to share together her life that has touched so many of us in various ways.
First, we will participate in a worship service with our God, who Alice loved and served. There will be readings of scripture, music, and memories from those who care to share. (There are plenty of stories, so if you do plan to share, please do your best to keep it within 3-5 minute segments. There will be a microphone on floor level for your convenience).
Second, we will ‘share together’ Holy communion. At St. Mark’s. EVERYONE is welcome to commune because it is not our feast but the ‘feast of our Lord Jesus’ and He invites all His people to join in. (Alice was very sincere about this concept).
And thirdly, after the service we will gather in the attached social hall for a luncheon and time for further conversation.
So please plan to join us for this special day. May God bless you and your family.
