Alexander Christopher Barry

Alexander Christopher Barry, age 32 passed away on January 7, 2026, following his valiant battle with cancer.  He was born in Charlotte, NC to Christopher Barry and Christi Miller Hibbard.  He attended Greenville, PA High School. He graduated from Indiana University of PA, Kappa Sigma, with a BSA in Hospitality Management.

Alex was a proud member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity and enjoyed strong bonds of friendship, love, and support with his brothers.  He had a love of music and had the pleasure of drumming with several local bands.  During his fight with cancer, he donated his drums to the Carnegie Music Hall where children now use them to learn to play the drums.  He volunteered for Meals on Wheels and Hospice. Alex loved to bring people together and make lasting memories.  He loved to make the people he cared about smile.  May his love and passion for life and the people he cared about be carried forward in our hearts forever.

He is survived by his mother, Christi Miller Hibbard, of Cranberry Township, PA father, Christopher Stanley Barry, of Greenville, PA, his grandparents, Pat and JoAnn Barry, numerous Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.  He was proceeded in death by his grandmother, Alice Cole Miller, and his grandfather, Benton Marshall Miller.  He leaves behind many beloved fraternity brothers and friends whom he considered his extended family.

A local celebration of Alex’s life will be held on January 11, 2026 from 2pm to 4pm at Candence ClubHouse, Allison Park, PA.  In lieu of flowers, please send any donations in his honor to Meals on Wheels, North Country, Cross Roads Presbyterian Church, 3281 Wexford Road, Gibsonia, PA 15044.
