Alan D. Karelitz

Alan D. Karelitz, 46, of Manor, passed away unexpectedly at home on Sunday, July 6th, 2025.

He was born in Latrobe on February 14th, 1979, to Amy (Cohen) Karelitz and the late William J. Karelitz. He graduated from Hempfield High School in 1997. 

After living in the Charlotte, NC area for many years, he had recently returned to his PA roots. At the time of his passing, he was employed at Gazda Agency as the Operations Manager where he worked alongside good friend Steve Gazda.

 Alan was passionate about his family, friends, music, Pittsburgh sports and “Star Wars.”

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Edwin and Bess Karelitz; maternal grandparents Bernard and Eileen Cohen; brother Eric Karelitz and uncle Lee Karelitz.

He is survived by his mother, Amy Karelitz; children Emily Rose Karelitz and William Jacob Karelitz, spouse Nicole Perry and stepdaughter Maria Perry; niece Madison Karelitz; nephew Matthew Karelitz; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and lifelong friends Eric Tullis, Jake Hapchuk and Brian Maxwell.
