Gray Allen Dashield

Gary Allen Dashield , 72, of Rochester, Pa., departed this life to rejoin our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 13, 2019, while at Beaver Valley Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. He was born July 7, 1947, in Rochester and was the son of the late Nathaniel Dashield and the late Marian (Hubbard) Hudson. He was a graduate of Rochester High School in 1965 where he ran track and won medals. He attended Allegheny Community College where he later became a non-denominational minister and served in the U.S. Army. Surviving are daughter, Angel Monique Dashield of Pittsburgh, Pa., and sons, Gary Allen Dashield Jr. of Houston, Texas, and Terrance Allen Dashield of Bellefonte, Pa. He leaves granddaughters, De’Jaune Miracle Diamond Dashield, Washington, DC, and Laila Tina Lashay Mwangi, Pittsburgh, Pa.; along with sisters Vicki Lynn Drewery (Bernard) of Orlando, Fla.; Robyn Ann Morris (James) of Charlotte, N.C.; Roberta Jo-Carmon of Beaver Falls, Pa.; and Kim Dashield (Dennis) of Cleveland, Ohio; brother, Dewitt Clyde Hudson III (Susan) of Chippewa, Pa.; best friend, Paul Ward of New Brighton, PA; and many nieces and nephews as well as other relatives and friends. He was a true disciple of Jesus and a kind, loving, giving person we will truly miss. There will be no visitation. Interment service with military honors on Friday, December 20, at 1 p.m. in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
