Welcome to the memorial page for

Danielle Rae Walker

December 8, 2017

Danielle Rae Walker of South Park on Friday, December 8. We are the heart broken parents, Martin (Marty) Walker and Donna Walker (Massimino). Danielle has left our lives but will never leave our hearts. She left us the gift of her beautiful daughter Isla Capri (Izzy) Walker. She was preceded in death by Izzy’s father, Stephen Shaun Urcini. She was blessed with the most loving siblings Maura and Martin (Stephanie and Noah), amazing aunts, uncles and special cousins (from the Walker, Massimino and Handerhan families) who embraced Izzy and made her part of their sisterhood. She made one last gallant effort to rid herself of her addiction with the help of our friends Marty Griffin, Dr. Capretto of Gateway and a special, caring Pittsburgh Police Officer. We were recently able to see and talk to her, sober, for the first time in many years and subsequently, within minutes, we fell in love with her all over again despite all of the harm and pain her illness caused us and many others. To those she harmed, we are sorry. But those actions were not from our beautiful daughter but from the addict that she had become. Please forgive her, we have. And to the men who took advantage of her, knowing of her fragile state, may God forgive you, we never will. The only advice we have for those families living with addiction, be angry, hurt and frustrated but end your conversations with “I love you”. Danielle always did and now we wish we had. “If LOVE could have saved you, you would have been here forever.”Services are private. Arrangements by Ball Funeral Chapel, Inc.
