Theresa (Cardillo) O'Brien from Castle Shannon, formerly from Mt. Washington, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 10, 2016, after fighting ovarian Cancer since 2010, with her family by her side. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Paul T. O'Brien; her parents, Pasquale and Domenica; and her brothers, Frank (Kathy) and Paul (Anna) Cardillo. She is survived by her brother, Augie (the late Irene) Cardillo. She was loved and cared for by her niece, Cheryl (Mark and Adam) Volchko. She was admired by her nieces, nephews, great-nieces / nephews and great-great-nieces / nephews. She loved her extended family, Rosanna (Chuck), Chucky (fiancée, Brigid) Stewart and Alyssa (Gary) Sakolsky. Theresa was loved by many people as she worked as a "Sales Clerk" for Hendels Market Grocer and Candy Rama in Downtown Pittsburgh where she worked her entire life.
