On Fri. 3-31-17 Patricia George Houy, age 73, beloved wife of Walter P. (Butch) Houy passed away peacefully at home after living joyfully and hopefully, while gallantly battling breast cancer.  Patty is mother of Rebecca Lohr (Ray), Boyd Houy (Traci) of Kennedy Twp, Shawn Houy (Lisa) of Economy, and Shay Kochin (Chris) of Carnegie.  Preceded in death by her beloved grandson, Dakota Houy.

Grandmother to William & Nichole Houy, Tyler Houy, the late Dakota Houy, Kate Houy, Joseph Kochin, Bailey Kochin and Evan Houy.  Great-grandmother to Evelyn Houy.  

Born February 18, 1944 to parents, Emile and Catherine (Welchans) George. Sister Mary ( late Jim) Fanzo,  sister to the late Sonny (Lil) George, sister Nancy (Pete) Marra, sister Ellie (late Dave) Stultz, brother Rich (Gail) George, brother Wayne (Maryanne) George.  Survived by many loving sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and a multitude of treasured friends.

Patty was a lifelong member of the Carnegie United Methodist Church.  She faithfully and humbly took the walk to Emmaus.  She was a prolific artist and crafter who enjoyed sharing her talents with everyone she knew.  She enjoyed attending craft shows, gardening, historical reenacting and attending car shows with her husband.

Friends and family will be received Mon. April 3, 2017, 5pm-7pm  and Tues.   April 4, 3pm-6pm with a sevice  celebrating  her life beginning at 6pm on Tues.   All services will be held at the Carnegie United Methodist Church 415 Washington Ave. Carnegie, PA 15106
